Can anyone think of any issues I should be prepared for if I were to want to put the slant 6 and 904 trans from a '62 pushbutton Valiant into a '65 column shift Valiant?

The valve body is a little different in '62 vs. '65 to accommodate the lever vs. pushbutton-and-park-slide shifting. Probably easiest to swap the valve bodies.

Other than that, no issue.
