Post subject: 78 Plymouth Volare Problem With Eng Tear Down (Tue Aug 17, 2004 11:17 am)

[have problem with 225 build up. had a knock when turning corners, thought it was the cam. after half tear down realized it was my balancer bolt( didn't thank /6 had on) now its in my grandmas' car field for about three years. where should I start first on fixing it? its all togather but nothing is complete

I don't guess I understand what the question is. If you determined that it was just the bolt through the harmonic balancer, just torque it to spec. If you partially tore the engine down, before realizing what the problem was, and after three years of it sitting, you forgot how to put it back together, find a good repair manual, like Haynes. If you want to make other mods while you're elbow deep into it, that's another set of questions.

Please clarify what the problem is and you'll get plenty of helpful comments from this great group of guys.
