i have a slant six engine that is seeping small amounts of oil between the block and head. could this mean i need to re-tourque the head. the engine has a copper head gasket. |

Are you sure the oil isn't coming from the Valve cover gasket? |

If it's near the front, it could be the alternator bracket hole (if your bracket's gone), which is open to the outside. Lou |

i get the oil seeping too and have no idea were it goes from. never knew about a alternator bracket hole. mine looks to be leak between the block and head this is my first toy i thought i was gona go bigger untill i taalk to a few slant six fans |

What type of sealant did you use on the gasket? Where did you put it? Tom |

Oh yeah, copper head gaskets are known to weep. Retorque the head.Mitch |

i have found leaks from the timing cover seal. fuel pump gasket, oil pump gasket, and the various bolts that tap into the motor before, all were decieving. |
