Posting this now, in case anyone wants to plan a vacation from the cold. Mopars at Big Daddys, Nov 6th-7th. Don Garlits Museum of Drag Racing. Ocala, FL. http://clubs.hemmings.com/frameset.cfm? ... ridamopars Turkey Run, 4 Day Thanksgiving weekend. Daytona Speedway, Daytona Beach, FL. All makes show. Last year over 5,000 cars. http://www.turkeyrun.com/ I will have at least one of my cars, at each show. |

no racing at either one. There have been rumors of moving the Garlits show to Gainesville Raceway, for several years, but nothing has happened yet. |

What is the biggest Mopar show in Fla. with a drag race? What time of the year is it held? |

I think it might be at Moroso Dragway. I would have to check on the date, but I think it is past. I went 3 years ago, and would never go back. I put one run on the car, and said the hell with it, loaded up and left. In my opinion, the track management needed an attitude adjustment. They had a Ford meet a few weeks previous, that was rained out. They reschulded the Ford meet with the Mopar meet. It was a zoo. You couldn't move in the pits. Cars parked any where they wanted, including on the pit roads. Fords could run time trials with the mopars on Sat. but the mopars could not run the Ford gamblers race sat night. Sun was Ford only, no Mopars. Car show and swap meet area, was Fords on the paved area, and Mopars on the grass, in the boonies, past the finish line. |

I don't know of any. I am trying to get in touch with slant cecil, he should know. But his computer crashed. I have left a phone message for him, and will post when I find out anything. |

Slant Cecil, said, the Moroso show is the only one he knows of. Some friends have said it is ok, if none of the other shows get rained out.If there is a rainout, and they combine shows, it is a zoo, and the Mopars are 2nd rate.
