There is not so many brands available anymore. You can find couple of alternatives from CompCams.Com. If you're really doing it for motorcycle, there is no need for low rpm torque, choose the hotter one of these 2.

And keep out from MP (factory original) cams. They have a mystery feature to broke the oil pump gear => that's why my Slant Six is garaged. I'm in the process to collect some motivation to lift the powerplant off the engine compartment.

Please, send a picture of your bike as soon you have installed the engine. Are you going to put the SL6 length- or crosswise to the frame? I can imagine how the heavy slant rotating mass will rocker the bike when accelerating...

yeah i was looking at the stats for the comp cams and they were ALL designed for towing.. it even says so on the comp website.

i wish there was something better, im using an automatic tranny with a 4k stall.

and the pics will be up everywhere.. i spent 30 bucks on a website for this project and am going to keep constant updates online at www.hardymotorcycles.com

Comp Cam can grind anything out of their lobe library...I've been toying with their Xtreme energy Grind that's lobes 6055 intake, and 6056 exhaust if going high compression and rpm...

(specs would be similar to 274/280 .503/.512... they'd have to set the overlap and LSA with what you want the cam to do...)...

Call cam companies (incl COMP) and tell them what you're after. Slant performance parts are rarely listed catalogs, but many places can make them or get them. Don't bother with Crane, though.

Pistons: Silvolite, Enginetech, TRW/Fed Mogul all make good cast replacement pistons. J&E and Venolia make custom forged for a Slant.

A SL6 powered motorcycle, that would be a "first". ( well... I have never seen one done yet)

I have some used rocker arm assemblies, hold downs and pushrods if you need a set cheap.
Drop me a PM,
DD
