Tuning carb with 02 is the plan. Wanted to know what's O2 voltage ranges for good idle for summer and winter conditions on for setting up cold and hot idle air/fuel mixture ratio. The 5220 only have one adjustable item: idle air/fuel needle to set ratio mix.

The rest of carb is set up with jets for primary and secondary and one power valve.

Thanks & cheers,

Wizard

A typical narrowband o2 sensor will read ~0.45-0.5v @ 14.7 AFR. I believe this varies somewhat by temperature.

Pierre,

That's correct what I'm asking about and to others.

What's the idle mix I should set up when hot (choke open)?

Cheers,

Wizard

For a mostly stock motor (no big cam), you can use stoichiometric for the idle setting (~0.5V on the O2 sensor), or slightly richer. It will depend on how smooth you want the idle, really. You can run it lean at idle, but it will be a little bumpy.

I think most people would set it at around 0.6-0.8V at idle in neutral, which pulls down to around 0.5 when you put it in gear (auto).
