They are pretty common in junkyards. Its a parts store item as well. Ask for one from a 1973 duster so you get one with a magnetic pickup in it. MSD boxes will work with points as well but I would still rather use a mangetic pickup for increased reliability. |

Btw, what do you mean "and electronic ignition" ? When using an MSD box you don't use the stock EI module, just distributor to msd box to coil to cap to plugs. I'd get an msd coil as well so you don't have to use a ballast resistor. |

You can also get remann'd electronic dists at most any parts store. Mine was ~$40 at NAPA. (About 2 years ago) -S/6 |

You will want the standard electronic distributor. It has mechanical advance and a vacuum advance pod. They where used in slant sixes from 1973-1980. After 1977, it's possible to find a lean burn slant six, which is wrong for your needs. The article on lean burn delete would help you out a little, but I can't find the link to it. Until I do, here is a post with excellent pics of the item you want and information about performance advance curve adjustments. http://www.slantsix.org/forum/viewtopic ... istributor |

Here is the link to the article: http://www.slantsix.org/articles/leanburn-article_files/leanburn-article. htm It should have pictures and general info that may clear up the water some. |
