As far as the slant 6 truck flywheels go, how many different ones were made? I thought the truck had a 11" 143 tooth wheel. I heard someone said their truck flywheel, with a 2 1/8 crank ID, had 132 teeth. Anyone heard of that? Does anyone know what the crank ID is on the 11" truck flywheel? |

Behind the later OD trannies those come with a standard size flywheel like in the cars, but are heavier for torque and come with the 10" clutch. If you get one with a low mount starter and a straight 4 speed in early trucks or a NP235/435 it should be a larger 11" clutch unit. -D.Idiot |

The 143 tooth NP 435 flywheels I have seen all had the small crank hole. .(60-67 SL6)This large flywheel can only be used with the matching bellhousing that has the low V8 starter position. (and it weighs a lot) DD |

Last year I sold one out of an 80's truck to a member in Washington for his Ramcharger project that needed the special bell and flywheel, so they did make them for the larger crank pocket. -D.Idiot |

Hello, been reading this post, I just sold an 11" flywheel, & the bellhousing (seperate buyers). The bellhousing was aluminum & it came from a 1960 Valiant, appearing to be original. Just FYI |

I have a complete 11" setup out of a '80 1/2 ton. The bellhousing is setup for a 3 speed or the granny low 4 speed. |

Do you know how many teeth on the '80 1/2 ton? Has anyone heard of a 132 tooth flywheel (factory)? |
