Just installed freshly rebuilt motor and tranny today. I used new mounts for the engine and trans. The trans mount insert slides a little in the bracket side to side and I'm wondering what keeps it centered. Seems like there is enough play that it might move off the end, which it did while I was putting it in. Any thoughts here? I thought about tacking a few small welds from the bracket to the metal casing on the insert to keep it centered.

'74 Scamp A body crossmember is what I am refering to.

Thanks
