I recently received the plastic insrument cluster, radio faceplate, heater/defroster faceplate and the plate for the transmission from "CHROME TECH USA". The workmanship was excellant and I would recommend their service to anyone looking for a source for re-plating the old plastic dash parts. This is not really chrome plating as much a vacuum deposition frocedure that was used on the original parts. The plating is not intended for use outside the vehicle. The re-plating looks as good as the original plating in 63. If anyone is interested the web site is chrometechusa@charter.net. RMDV

Did you send your own items to be plated? How was the pricing for plating?

Yes I sent all the parts from one of dthe 63 Valiants I have. They consisted of the instrument cluster, radio panel, heater control panel and transmission push-button panel. It took awhile, I suspect they wait until they get several to do. There was some defects in some of the parts and they fixed them before plating; the first plating didn't satisfy their standards so they re-plated after repairing some cracks and chips. These parts look as good as when they were new. One of the Valiants has been in my family since new so I have something to compare the re-plating with. The total cost was $200.00. Regards. RMDV
