Ok guys and gals, here's one for ya. I purchased a slant from a guy a few years ago from a jerk on ebay that didn't have a clue what he was selling. I got stuck with a motor I didn't need. Anyway.....I can't seem to sell the whole motor, so I thought selling the parts would be better. Most of the parts are hypo-stuff. I will be listing them later...
Now for my quest....how do I find out what cam I have ? The guy told me it's a "3/4" cam, but I have no way to know that for sure. Is there a way to measure the lobes or something?I can't seem to find any part numbers anywhere, but I have'nt gotten all the grease off to see. It is a brand new cam and I hate to just throw the thing out. It has solid lifters. PLEASE HELP!

You can measure a lobe to get a rough idea of the cam's lift.
Measure over the peak of the lobe, write the number down.
Now measure across the sides of the lobe, subtract this number from the first. Take the number you get and multiply it by 1.5 to get an advertised lift figure.

Thanks Doc! I knew there was a way to get at least part of this thing figured out--I just couldn't remember how. Ok....so here's what I've found so far. I measured like you said and found that both the exhaust and intake are the same dimesions. I have 1.78 at the top and 1.40 on the base circle. That leaves me with .38"... now I multiply by 1.5===0.57" Wow! That's a lot of lift! can that be right? --I did find a number on the end of the cam today. It reads 930289. Any ideas? I really think I'm close now !! Thanks again Doc!
