My /6 (225) in my 70 dart needs to be rebuilt. I'm going to take it in. What's an approx good price on a rebuild for such an engine?
Thanks for the input!

One Atlanta area engine rebuilder charges about $1200. A fellow I work with is putting a v6 in a '91. He works for that rebuilder. I asked that question today.

I had my machine shop do all the machining, install cam bearings, assemble new pistons to rods, and purchase all my bearings, gaskets, and pumps (water and oil), cam. I ended up with a bill of about $1200, but i'm going to do the assembly of the rest of the engine myself. This cost can vary quite a bit depending on where you live. I had machine work done on a set of heads for another engine, that cost me $150, but i was told by others in other parts fo the country, that it could be almost $300. You best bet will be to ask around for a machine shop that has experiece with slant 6s, they will probably treat you better.

Nick
