I think it was you that mentioned wanting to find a ball bearing, 12VDC motor to run on your water pump drive. Well, I phoned a local HVAC supplier, and they've got one listed for about $40. I haven't actually went there to look at it, and I don't know what the original drive motor(s) run for rpm, but it sure sounded good over the phone. I'll get over there Monday and see what I can see. Roger: If you can get me some info on that motor, I would appreciate it. I have the Moroso electric fan/water pump drive on my car. It works fine, but they were never meant for continuous operation on the street. They are just a heater blower motor, and have bronze bushings. They wear out quickly, with the side loading of the belt. Also the motor tends to run hot, due to the increased drag and higher current draw. |
