My swap meet 71/4 has the numbers 2070067. Any way to tell what year it's from? 67' would be too easy, right? It has a suregrip, 9" brake backing plates, uses the 9"x2" shoes and the drums have the spring around the outside. Any info would be great.

Anyone ?? The brakes are missing some parts and I am having trouble matching up the parts I need because I am not sure what year it is. Any info would be appreciated.

If all you need are brake parts, you can get them off of any 9x2" setup (and ofcourse, make sure they are same bolt-pattern size if you need drums).

Just a guess, I'm thinking since it still has 9x2" brakes then its likely a pre-73 rear end, so at the parts stores you can tell them you have a 71 valiant or something like that.

Thanks Pierre. The guy at the swap meet thought it was out of a 67' but you never know. I've got the 9x2 shoes, spring and hardware kit, still looking for the wheel cylinders for these backing plates. The closest ones I've found are actually from a late 60's Mustang or Cougar. Thanks for the info.

You can get the wheel cylinders at autoparts stores... I'm not sure whats availible in Canada. If nothing local, mail order.... www.kragen.com or www.rockauto.com
