Does anyone know where to get the ARP head studs, and approx the price of a set?

Also if I cannot afford them I might want to use the hardended Steel Washers - here could I get them? I am Guessing regular hardware store washers will not cut it.

Thanks for your help.

For hardened washers just go to any hot rod shop and get a set of head bolt washers for a small block Chevy. You will get enough for 2 sets of head bolts. The set i got was around $7.

Well Summit had the arp studs in stock for the head - $76.00 for the set - I figured that was reasonable - so I decided to go that route, Next I probably get the conn. rod studs.

I had decided aganist the main studs, because I am getting one of Mike Jefferys' Windage tray kits, so I just stick with stock stufff there.

Thanks again for all the help.

You've gotta torque these studs a little higher than the stock bolts. Follow the instruction sheet or reference ARPs web site for info.
