let me see if i get this.? CORRECT me if i'm wrong, 1.From the 12volt [YELLOW WIRE] gets power from the START position,Runs to the + side of the internal resistor coil,(AND TO THE MAIN INGITION FEED[BLUE WIRE]???).? 2.From the main ingition feed [BLUE WIRE]gets power from the key ON position, to the blue wire with stripe on the ECU. 3.[BLACK WIRE]with stripe to the - side of the coil. 4.Then the two wire plug for the DIST. WHY are we connecting two power wires togather if so.? 12volt [YELLOW WIRE]START position 12 volt [BLUE WIRE]key ON position |

This is a carry over from the balast resistor system. It is not necessary to have two wires or separate start and run if you are using an internally resisted coil, but depending on the year or model, it may be the easiest way and shouldn't hurt anything to just wrap them together. You must supply 12v+ to the coil and the ECU during starting and run. The extra wires are just extra or fail over in your design. I'm not sure of the colors, but I think that explains what you are trying to get at. |
