The plastic piece that sits on the accelerator pumpshaft and connects
with the linkage rod broke on my 1920.
I got a parts carb with a similar piece, thinking it would be a simple
task to take off the clips, pry the plastic off the rod and replace.

But the plastic piece on both carbs does not come off easily.
Do I have to go inside the carb and release something on the pump?
I'm afraid I'll break the plastic piece or the end of the rod link if I
force it.

Help please.

For anybody else that might need to know, you do have to take off the metering block under t6he float. That releases the accel pump
and is the only way the plastic piece can come off.
(Thanks to Eric)
