What "mechanism" is it that you're trying to replace? Just the turn signal cam, or the entire switch? |

It is the entire switch. I have figured out how though. I grouped the wires in 2 and feed a piece of mechanics wire down then pulled 1 group thru then the other. The problem that I am now dealing with is the new turn signal switch which I got from freddick dodge, is that it is larger than the original one so I have spent the last 2 hours with my dremel brinding out the inside of my column where the cam hits the inside of the column when it turns > AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH next time I will try JUST REPLACING the cam. |

I have cams for the '64 style switch if anyone needs them. I'm not sure how late they can be used. |

The '64-style switch is '64 through '68, but can be used as far back as '62. The difference between the '62-'63 and '64-'68 switch is the style of terminals on the ends of the wires. |
