Here's a few unclassified pics from my "Mopar" compound. A few of them are pics I shot of the beautiful spring greenery in my yard, I noticed later that almost every picture of my yard had a car or truck in it! I artfully cropped them to emphasize the automotive aspect here :)

Do you have a closeup of the "Bradford"? Looks like a beauty even from a distance.

Is that a Newport? Glad to see you saved it from being derbied by some clown. I had a 73 Fury and a 72 Monaco coupe in my driveway at one point, there wasn't much room for anything else.

Yep, X 2.

I've developed a relatively newfound appreciation for Newports and other huge C-bodies in my "old age", particularly the fuselage styled ones from '69 -'72. These are some very sporty and attractive cars for their tonnage class. The green '72 was a parts aquisition for $250 - I wanted the disc brakes for the '69 convertible, mostly. What I realized I ended up with was a 75,000 mile, one owner (before it was junked) car that I couldn't really find anything major wrong with after I replaced some missing parts and got it running... And no, I won't be parting it out now. Since it sat junked for 18 years, the weather did take it's toll on a few things, but the original paint is still decent!

Funny you should mention a '72 Monaco coupe, I came very close to buying a '72 Polara coupe up the road from me just the other day. Black inside and out, 30 thousand-something miles, supposedly, but it had been stored outside all of its life and had a few issues. Still I thought it might be a cool and unusual car to campaign at the track! 8) ...decided against it in the end, though.

I'm with you - far too many people are destroying these cars to the point where there aren't that many left any more. I admit, I used to look at cars like the '72 4-door as nothing more than a source for a big-block core. My attitude has changed on that over the years. The '72 is hands-down the best looking 4-door body style I have ever owned (in my opinion, of course  ). The 4-door hardtop actually looks stealthier and more well balanced than the 2-door that year, if you ask me. :)

Makes me wish I still had my 73 Newport 4 door, I know the present owner and its location, but don't think I could repurchase it for 40 bucks! Good job DW keeping them C bodies alive...

I've always liked full size Mopars and Fords (especially 74-78 Mercury Marquis, I've had 2 coupes). But the 73 Fury II was my first full size Mopar...360, yellow in and out. I saved it from going to a derby. But the 72 Monaco was basically a running/driving basket case. There wasn't a single usuable part on it, but I drove it for 6 months. Unfortunately, I let it go cheap and it went to a derby, but believe me, it was beyond restorable. My favorite was a 66 Chrysler 300.. 4 door, 383..it could move, and it's being restored by it's new owner. Now I jus stick to A bodies.

Should'nt be hard to miss your yard :D

Do the neighbors ever complain?

How many cars do you have total?

Must see more picks of backyard Dodge. Love that bodystyle!

I thought you had a pickup also.

Jolly Green Giant (what size engine, faster than orange monster or slower?) is the same year as the car in Joy Ride. I think you should see that movie, you'll enjoy it.
