I went to get a set of spark plugs for my /6, but i don't remember the year of the engine that i got the head off of. it's the newer style without sparkplug tubes. What do i need to ask for when ordering a set of plugs? Also, at the rear end of the intake/exhaust flange, there is a small hole that looks like something bolts onto. What is this? Nick |

Asking for spark plugs for a '76 Dart will get you the correct type (e.g. Autolite 25 or 26 with resistor, or 15 or 16 without resistor); the "no spark plug tubes" head started in '75. The hole at the rear of the head is for exhaust port air injection. You need to plug/block this off or you'll have an exhaust leak there. |
