I was reading my Mopar Collectors Guide magazine (April 2005), and I came across an article about a "Slant Six Dual Weber Intake Manifold. Right now I have a Offy 4 Barrel (570) with my 11-1 pistons running about 14.6 in the quarter, and I was wondering if it would be beneficial for me to get this new Dual Weber? Or should I keep looking for a Hyper Pak? Or should I stay with what I got. My goal is to get my 67 Cuda in the mid 13's and besides putting the new Cal Track (don't know the spelling) rear suspension package, I don't know what else I can do to the motor. I need your help Professor Dutra, thank you in advance for your expertise.

Thanks,

D.J.

I'm not the Doc, and I have never run the dual webers, but I don't think you will see any improvement over the 4bbl, for drag racing.

I've been running the dual Webers for a couple of years now on my daily driver, and they've worked great. My slanted Volare is not heavily modified, and I haven't tweaked the Webers any, so I might be able to make my Volare a little faster. I like this setup, but I agree with Charlie, stick with your four-barrel.

The single 4 bbl can be tuned to run faster then the dual Webers.
For a fast 1/4 mile, I would put time and effort into rearend gearing (4.56) high stall speed converter, cylinder head and cam "flow matching" and carb / distributor tuning work.
Or just hit it with a 100 HP shot of NOS and hold on.
