Can anyone give me the number for a stock coil for our '74 Dart Sport with electronic ignition?

Thanks,
Jerry

The 1974 number would've been superseded many times over the last 31 years. A coil for a 1989 Chrysler "Anything" (Dodge D100 pickup, Plymouth Gran Fury, Dodge Spirit, Chrysler LeBaron, whatever) is the same coil and can probably be ordered from your local Chrysler/Dodge dealership. But you can get an identical coil for less money via NAPA Echlin or Standard-BlueStreak. And there are better coils, beside.

So, as I suspected, unless I want to spend bucks upgrading the ignition system to MSD or whatnot, the coil is fairly irrelevant. Probably, most currently available coils are an upgrade from the old ones anyway, and like you said, will cost less.

Just a guess,
Jerry
