Thats a good reason
. There is really not all that much wrong with a Pertronix or Chrysler electronic ignition.Might be better off spending your money some place else.

the 6al has a built in rev limiter. thats the only difference in the 2 that i know of. its just a matter of choice i guess. |

Does the rev limiter make a difference?....probably only on the dragstrip. It will keep you from over-revving your engine while things are a little "busy" for the driver. Oh....if you go with a 6A, you can, at a later date, get a plug-in rev limiter attachment from MSD. Roger |

Well you can buy whatever you want from whomever makes it. I have an MSD coil, and it seems fine. But don't simply buy because someone makes it or because "it completes the outfit" so to speak. You seem to be a guy that wants the most bang for the buck, so why not see what other options are out there? I got electronic ignition for under $70 with all new parts doing the GM HEI conversion.
