I want to convert the 8 3/4 in my A body to LBP which, of course, requires new axles. The price of the Moser axles is nearly 50% more than the Yukon axles. Why? Is Moser that much better than Yukon? The car will not be raced, it's intended as a daily driver. TIA --Walt Jackson 1963 Dodge Dart GT convertible 225 /6 |

Could of sworn I heard someone on here say there was enough meat on the axle to re-drill to LBP on SBP 8.75" axles. That may be an even cheaper route all together. |

New axles from Moser are IIRC about $300/set. If you can locate a set of station wagon or truck axles from an 8 & 3/4, Mose will shorten and respline them for less than $100. Of course the trick is to find a set of the appropriate axles. |

I did redrill my SBP axles to the LBP, on my race car. However, I used the screw in 1/2 dia allen head studs. The head of the stud is thicker then the head of the press in stud, and will hit the e-brake link, unless you grind down the head of the stud. On the race car, I left the e-brake link out. |
