| Post subject: | Oil Pan Gasket Change - Engine Removal Necessary? |
I have a leaking oil pan gasket...can I change my oil pan gasket (1962 Dodge Lancer - 170 / 6) without removing the engine from the car? Any advice/pitfalls? I REALLY don't want to take the engine out (again). |

You can, but it won't be easy. Remove both motor mounts and jack the engine up high enough to get the oil pan out. You will probably have to remove the steering center link also. |
