I am going to pick up an MSD ignition , Coil and Wires today.

What wire set should i Buy, so it will hook up well to my distributor?

I am pretty sure they dont make a set for our 225's, but I thought perhaps a LA v8 set would probably work.

Also what box do you reccomend. I was planning to buy the 6A and Blaster 2 coil unless I hear otherwise here.

Car is a fairly stock slant getting a 2bbl upgrade whenever my carb gets here. New a-904 transmission Motor was "rebuilt" Last year by the previous owner, but I have no information on the rebuild. I am running Electronic Ignition.

Get Magnecor wires. They do make them specifically for the slant-6.

OK I ot everything I need, but am unclear on 1 thing with the installation, where do I find Ign 1 and Ign 2 as mentioned in the dozen articles I have read on this site? I think I understand all the rest of the instructions.

Robb, you've probably figured this out by now. But just connect it as shown in the Diagram for Chryslers that comes with your MSD box. It's just that simple. Are you using an electronic disty? I used the MSD custom wire kit and cut them to size. Worked perfectly.

Yep , I got it installed this weekend. I only connected 1 wire though from the ignition? Seems to be working OK. I also bought the cut to length wire from MSD, bu have yet to install them(Need to get a vise for the crimping tool!). Car sure seems to run smoother, and start with less cranks.

Robb,

It would be nice to know if your mileage improves with the MSD box.
What were you getting for mileage?

I have an upgraded electronic ignition per Slant Six Dan's recommendations (Bluestreak cap, Echlin rotor, NGK UR4 plugs set at .040, orange ECU and Blaster 2 coil, 8mm wires) and one pump and mine starts up cold with a bang!
On restarts after the engine is warm I have to crack the throttle a little and it starts with a bang. It no longer sounds like your grand mothers slant six!
