What kind of rebuild are you looking for? Bare bones, daily driver, stock? High performance, or something in between? A bare bones rebuild can be as inexpensive as $1,000-$1200. From there the sky is the limit. Can you do any of the work yourself? That will save money.

Thanks,
I am looking for a bare bones/daily driver. I am going back out to sea and wanted to have it done while I am out.
I hear some (what I think) rod knock and the power is not really there.

I spent a little over $2000 on the rebuild, lots of milling on the block and the head (9.5 to 1), bored .030 over, ported, balanced, teflon coated pistons, hardened inserts, etc. The cam was reground for a higher lift and the manifolds were gasket matched.

My engine build was for torque and mileage.
It is very spunky, more useable power and allot of fun to drive!
I just need to keep my foot out of it. Average mileage is very good.
I running an 8 3/4 posi rear end and P235 x 14 rear tires.
