| Post subject: | 63-64 Dart FIBERGLASS HOODS - who wants one? |
Hello All, I am going to get a run of these hoods made via Meril Bruner. I bought one from him last year and it is very nice - straight, 14lbs total weight, black gelcoat. Pin on only. I dropped 50 lbs off the front of my car with this swap (remove hinges/springs too). Price will be $180-230, but don't know exact yet. Will depend on number made. Let me know soon as I need to call him to get the order started. I can deliver to select Slant 6 races, or??? I will need cash, cleared check, Paypal, or MO up front. Thanks, Lou |

What other details are you guys looking for? I won't be able to establish price until I get a firm commitment on numbers, but it will be in the range I stated, which is cheaper than any manufacturer. Also, I'm not sure how to ship these things, and I'm not really interested in building crates to keep them from damage. I apologize if this makes things less attractive/doable. Any ideas on a meeting place or transfer through the slanted network? Any chance you'll make a Slant race, Rick? Troubled64, you are near a few, so that would be a natural drop. Rick, I took your response to be definite, but we should discuss how to get them to you before finalizing. Troubled64, if you say "I'm interested", then that does not sound definite enough for me. I would appreciate more specifics on what you want to do. I would guess that these will take until at least Aug/Sept to make, then we'll have to arrange delivery/pick up. Just a warning. Thanks guys, and I'll keep you updated. Lou |

| Post subject: | how similar are these hoods to the valiant/barracuda? |
Just curious. I know that it will bolt on, but I am trying to imagine the body lines. Are they similar? |

Look at my pictures of "Project V" in Virtual Dragstrip and Slixer's Gallery. That car has 63/4 Dart hood, 65 Dart fenders/valance, and it's a 66 Valiant. All body lines match up. Don't think you can do a 63/4 Dart hood directly on a Valiant front clip though. Lou |

If you can figure out shipping, I'll take one for sure. But don't go to any trouble at my expense. BTW, I'm in Northern California. |

Sounds good, guys. Doug, how do you plan on getting things to CA? Luckily you and sixty4dartgt are very close to each other. So far, I count 6 including me. I'll leave this offer open until this coming Monday, then call Meril with a number to build. Anyone else? Lou |

Monday (tomorrow) is the last day to get an order in here. May be an opportunity later, but this will be the last certain opportunity. Lou |

I want one so bad I can taste it! However, no income currently means I wouldn't be able to pay for it anytime soon. How soon would you need the money? Another question that could tip my answer:Could he add bracing for the hinge (without torsion bars, of course)? I'm not crazy about pin-on. Sorry for the late answer; if I'm too late just ignore me! |
