My buddy got hisself a 40 dodge with a dead flathead.

We have 2.5 4 cyl and auto tranny from a late 80's Dakato.
I want to go with a slant but we would have to get the whole drivetrain while we alrerady have the 2.5.
I was told the Distributer would rub the lower body and to go with the jeep straight6.
We want this to be as much of a "bolt in" as possiable....
Any thoughts?

My son Aaron just started a summer job this week working for a guy who opened a local custom rod shop. Their first project is a '40 Dodge that is getting its top chopped 4-1/2". Is going to be a very nice ride when it's done.

I'm sure your going with a small block V8 please don't use a chevy.
Get a 360 crate motor.

Find another flathead.
