Can't help you on the defroster hoses (maybe junkyards?). Will say Hi from another 65 Valiant Signet convert owner (currently a sl6 3 speed getting ready to change to a sl6 4 speed). |

I had the same problem with the TMC giveaway '65 Barracuda (http://www.tidewatermoparclub.com); I used the expandable aluminum tubes used to connect engine air cleaner snorkles to heat risers and fender inlets. They are cheap and come in various sizes. I found some that fit fine. They are more delicate than the orig. system. |

Call Pacific Rubber Products in Eugene, OR. (541) 342-3350. For $2.75/foot or so, you can buy Kanaflex black EPDM ducting with spiral support wire, p/n 620WD 2-1/2. It is, as the P/N suggests, 2-1/2" diameter. Carefully remove the first couple coils of support wire at each end. Fold one end in on itself (like folding/rolling up a shirt sleeve) and clamp it to your 2" end. The 2-1/2" other end will easily stretch onto your 2-5/8" end and probably won't need a clamp. This stuff is extremely durable. |
