do you need to pull the cam out and have the small gear pressed on the cam? thanks!

i'm sure you guys caught this right away.. how do you press the timing gear on the crankshaft while it's still in the engine? thanks!

No, it goes on with a bolt.
You do need:
-a harmonic balancer remover AND installer
-a puller AND installer for the crank gear
-a new timing cover gasket
