aftermaket temp guage that bolts into the block drain plug. the wire going to it evidently has been bent too much, and now is squirting icy cold something out of it. i know that thwe temp guage is probably now shot, and its insert now only functions as a coolant drain plug. whats this liquid coming out?

You just took-out more o-zone by breaking the seal.
