Good morning folks,

I have been collecting 4bbls to play with on a /6, and re-reading my old "Slant 6 News"-es to see what the gurus had to say. In Issue 28 (June '87) Chuck Rivers wrote a nice article, with pics, about installing a Holley 4160 8007. Chuckoffered a nice rule of thumb for " dialing in" power valves...with an automatic. He says that a power valve number that is about half manifold vacuum in inches, will get you to the right place. I.e, an 18" reading halved is 9" and since power valves are 85 and 95, start with a 95. Since I have a manual transmission, I wonder if there is a similar rule of thumb for dialing in the 8007 for them, or if we are left to trial and error? {And, old timers, does anyone know who the ladies are in the ads for the T-shirts?!!!!}

The same rule of thumb will work for a manual transmission.
