No fuel getting through the jets? So when it's at 1600 rpm it dies? The main jets only come in off idle and midrange.... You're not confusing the jets, with the accelerator pump and "shooter" (nozzle at the top of the air horn that 'shoots' gas when the accelerator is pushed?). If the shooter squirts no fuel when you throw the throttle open a bit then you have a number of problems to check on: 1) make sure when you put the fuel bowl on you put the acc. pump arm under the throttle arm properly (has a bolt/nut and spring on it) 2) check the bolt and nut tolerance per the book with a feeler gauge (if not properly set you won't get a 'shot' at the proper time) 3) if that's good, when you did the rekit, did you make sure the rubber diaphragm was inserted properly, no leaks from the acc. pump housing diaphragm, or if yours is an old model per specs check the ball bearing 'check valve for proper clearance. Got pics? -D.idiot |
