I figure this doesn't come up too often, but since I am rebuilding the whole baby soon, does anyone have a brand of mechanical tappets they recomend? build up: 1975 225 block mucho head work (huge valves, port and polish, shaved .090) dual roller chain 390 holley 11 to 1 compression clifford intake and headers and eventually the GM HEI conversion. I will most likely need to have custom pushrods, so if anyone has a particular brand they recomend for them let me know that also if you could. -thanks..... |

I got a new set from advance auto cost $4 and change a lifter - for about $80 total, had no problems - I think they are sealed power brand. Greg |

IIRC, there is only one company that makes lifters anymore anyway. Everyone else just has their name put on them. |
