I finally got a weekend day to myself so I replaced the intake/exhaust gasket and 2 of the headder collector gaskets. When I put the 4 barrel on I didnt take the headders completely off so they leaked around the 4th, 5th and 6th exhaust ports. I also got it warmed up and pulled the rocker cover. I found the #6 exhaust to be VERY loose. I adjusted them all though, they were all loose. This engine has never been quieter, even when running the stock exhaust. I used to adjust the valves hot but not running, but never again, it will always be running from now on.
You can actually hear the slight miss of the cam at idle. of course the idle is set kind of low(650rpm in neutral). the headers and turbo muffler sound sweet under throttle.
the primaries seem to be jetted about right but I think I'm going to have to go a couple sizes smaller on the secondaries though. when I let off after hard throttle it will usually pop through the exhaust a couple of times. I hope to get it to the track again in late september so I'll keep you posted.

Basically a tube with louvers, with fiber glass insulation around it. Irritating on long drives.

OK, do you know what perforated means? Think of a tube with alot of holes in it, surounded by fiber glass insulation. I'll change my sig line to avoid any future confusion. In the mean time, here is a link for your viewing pleasure:http://auto.howstuffworks.com/muffler5.htm

That was a great sig. I told my friend about it and he cracked up, just like I did. Oh well.
