Meril Bruner called me and said his 'glass guy can also make 70-72 hoods for the same price ($200). Anyone up for these? Would be best to hand them off at future Slant races/events just as I said for the 63/64 hoods. Thanks, Lou |

Hey Lou, I didn't pay real close attention to your last glass hood thread because I don't have an early Dart, but I do have a '71. Are these lift off or can you put 'em on hinges? And can you get a scoop with that (a la mode style The '70-'72 glass hoods are more common, so I'm just trying to figure if there is a benefit to getting one this way versus through one of the big vendors. Thanks. |

Rob, They are lift off only, and very light (12-14lbs). Don't know what they cost from a regular company... This guy does primo work though, and you will spend less time/$$ to get it straight than most other places, from what people have commented on mine. I'm pretty sure you could get a scoop, but would have to ask Meril. Lou |

Thanks Lou, I appreciate the feedback. My '71 will be more of a street car, so the lift off thing doesn't quite fit my needs. The other ones I have seen from the big vendors at shows are around $225-$250, but are heavier than 12-14 lbs. These sound like a good drag car option. |
