I have a 79 Volare that I bought for parts (primarily the super six set up). Does anyone know if the spindle set up and the axles can be put into a 64 Dart? If so how hard and what's invlolved? It would be nice to have a larger wheel selection and discs in the front. Thanks, Dale

The spindle swap is a topic of great debate among mopar owners. In a word yes they will work if you get 73-76 a-body upper control arms with ball joints and 73-76 lower ball joints. There are concerns regading alignment issues that I don't want to get involved with. Some people have used them with no ill effect, but I have no experience with them personally. Go to www.bigblockdart.com for the complete comparo.

As far as the axle is concerned. I don't believe so. The volares used iso clamp spring mounts which are not compatible with your leafs. You could knock the mounts off and weld the correct stlye on but that is a lot of work and then you would still have an axle that is wider than what the car is supposed to have. But you would get bigger drum and LBP. And I almost forgot if your car is a 64 you should still have press fit rear drum which everybody loves to hate and nobody likes to remove.
