| Post subject: | Thermostat recommendations? |
The thermostat in my Valiant decided to give up the ghost today and because of the crummy quality of aftermarket parts these days, I'd like to pick everyone's brains before I buy a replacement. It seems everything I buy recently is made in China and the quality sucks, so if anyone knows a brand of thermostats still made in the USA, or some other country that builds good parts, I'd appreciate your clueing me in. The last one I bought for my 318 from NAPA was made in China and it didn't fit anyway, so I stuck the old Mopar part back in and I don't want to go back there. The one I took out of the Valiant was made in Israel, but I have no idea how long it's been in there. |

Use a 180° thermostat, Stant SuperStat, p/n 45358. Made in USA (for now...)! |
