Does the rev limiter make a difference?....probably only on the dragstrip. It will keep you from over-revving your engine while things are a little "busy" for the driver.

Oh....if you go with a 6A, you can, at a later date, get a plug-in rev limiter attachment from MSD.

What is it that you hope to achieve by installing an MSD?

Can't recommend anything until you say what you're trying to improve/change/fix.

Thats a good reason  . There is really not all that much wrong with a Pertronix or Chrysler electronic ignition.

Might be better off spending your money some place else.

well Yeah but before you know it every thread will turn into a flame war and we don't want that. It's very tempting but I would prefer to stick to crayons and grunting.

So sham why do you want to hot rod your car SOOOOOO bad why dont you just FIX it. It did run fine for 40 years you know.

Well you can buy whatever you want from whomever makes it. I have an MSD coil, and it seems fine. But don't simply buy because someone makes it or because "it completes the outfit" so to speak. You seem to be a guy that wants the most bang for the buck, so why not see what other options are out there?

I got electronic ignition for under $70 with all new parts doing the GM HEI conversion.
