Hey there.
I have a tickling tinny sound after warmup, goes up and down with revs... like one misajusted rocker but I have steady vac readings and no miss on that needle whatsoever...
hit me with the things I don't wanna think they're wrong...

I had the same thing happen on the Dart, unfortunately for me, it turned out that my timing chain was so loose that I was hearing it slap around in there. I hope that's not what you're experiencing.

I hope that's not the case But I don't believe is an ex leak neither... it's too metal hitting metal ... and like on the rearmost part of the engine. To tell the truth... you know how always slants takes for a ride #5 and #6 connecting rods? well...

A small exhaust leak can sound alot like metal on metal.........

My truck does it until it warms up. (Need to helicoil an exhaust stud, but since it goes away I haven't really worried about it............)

You wouldn't happen to have a trans/torque convertor inspection cover working loose, would you? Get the front up in the air, (SAFELY), crawl under there and check those covers. (It's free )

That reminds me of a problem we had with a old cadillac.......

Not sure if it's applicable, but with the cadillac the starter ring had 3 support bolts on the perimeter that bolted to lugs on the converter..........

2 of the lugs on the convertor had come unwelded (they're just tack welded) and the ring would tap against the converter........

Luckily there was enough room without the shield to weld the lugs back onto the converter (the starter ring lined them up perfectly) without removing or dropping any components..............
