Depends on the valve springs, and the valve stem diameter. That is what you must match.

Valve springs are high rate - up to .640 lift anf the stem are stock - I believe 3/8"

Sorry to say this, but what are those springs for ("BB / SB Chrysler - will they work")?
Light weight meaning what material?
Aluminum: wears quickly, hard to find (not produced by many companies anymore)
Titanium: $$$$$, only made for some sizes.

I used titanium on my GTO and they are 60k miles old and still going strong. But I was carefull to choose retainers that closely matched my spring diameters so as to keep the spring harmonics in check.

In some of my other posts, I've talked about my valve spring issues when I changed to aluminum heads and the retainers did not fit the springs for beans...

I went thru much work to solve the problem. So it is wise to look thru many catalogs and racing resources for a close match to your springs before purchasing anything. I like my retainers to be a press or snap fit to the spring...but you can't always attain this do to availability...as mentioned above...but at least less than .010" outer and inner on doubles.

I even begged Crane to send me close fitting retainers and they said the units I rec'vd were the specified ones...I didn't bother to use them...should've done the research myself as in the past instead of being in a hurry and throwing money away!
