Did the 71' gold duster come with a petrolite distributor? |

Assume you mean "Prestolite". No, in the US and Canada the '71 slant-6s in passenger cars got Chrysler-built distributors. Prestolite distributors were used in Canadian-built slant-6 cars and trucks from '60-'66, probably at least partly into '67 as well, and some heavy duty, marine and industrial slant-6s got Prestolite distributors as well. There was a Prestolite electronic ignition available for sale only to fleets ordering slant-powered cars in '66 as a factory pilot program. |
