Hey all, I work at a medium sized airport in New Braunfels Texas. We have acquired a couple of old aircraft tugs with 225s (no idea what year or even how to look it up). Problem is, behind the dash, this thing has been snipped and rats nested by who knows how many people, and it's a mess. If anyone has a standard wiring schematic that can help me get this thing running again, I would be thankful. I know the engine runs, I had it running before I started in on the wiring (could not shut it off, had to pull the coil wire to stop the engine, ignition switch is also fubar).
I could probably figure it out, eventually, but I am not that good with wiring and would rather have a plan before I start so I won't fry anything. We don't really have a budget to speak of, that's why I need some help.. Thanks
ERic

You'll prolly have to narrow it down to electronic or points ignition.

Yes, please let us know if you've got electronic or points ignition. I do have service manuals for Chrysler industrial 225s in my office. I can scan and post (or send) when I return to Canada on 9 October (only give me a day to sleep off the jetlag!)

I was in the Air Force stationed in England and we had a Clark tug with a /6 that would pull wheelies! That was my first exposure to a /6!
Usually, those tugs will have a data plate riveted to the firewall that may at least provide you with a model number for your piece of equipment. You may be able to find more info on the web. There are still several places that sell parts for these so you may be able to get a schematic from them. You can see if this link will help; http://www.keygse.com/

Hey all, it is a points and condenser set up. and absolutely ALL of the data plates have been either removed or painted over (we have tried to clean off but end up with a very clean piece of aluminum.) I will try and attach picture when I get use of a digital camera. Thanks soo much for the responses!!! :D
