I don't think the linkage on my 73 is right, looks to hacked together. It functions properly, but it doesn't look factory, am I missing something?

Yes. You are missing every single piece of the Super Six kickdown linkage except the bracket that bolts to the exhaust manifold. It looks like someone used the Super Six bracket piece as a clamp for the throttle vable then cobbled together a functioning kickdown out of the original onebarrel kickdown and some flat iron. It looks like it is still adjustable in the same manner that the one barrel kickdown was adjustable. I say if it works, leave it. |

Eventually that cable is gonna wear thru. I'd look around a fewJY's for the right setup. That is if you have a few JY's in your area. |

Yeah it works, just super funky looking. I noticed it Tex, fortunately I have a spare cable to put on it. |
