Are roller cams and lifters available for the slant 6?

If so, would they provide any significan increase in power and fuel economy?

TIA

I ordered a rebuilt rocker assembly from RAS a few weeks ago and asked about roller rockers. The man told me they were gearing up to produce another roller rocker order for a "customer" (probably Cox Bros).

I asked if he would sell me direct and he said yes. They should have started up by now. Give them a call at 530-378-1075 or email at rocker@c-zone.net.

The Cox boys had some roller cams made up. Lifters are standard V-8 units. Doug was also working on some roller cam blanks.

There are no "off the shelf" kits but many racers have put a roller cam & lifters into Slants.

If you are looking for economy / efficiancy, stay with a good flat tappit cam, rollers are to much trouble and $$$ for the small gain you would get.

I Think that you can get the rockers cheaper through the Cox Bros, as they pass on the discount for ordering a large number.

Will

p.s.
I have a roller cam in the race car and it is a kind of high dollar piece.
