just a quick synopsis: had a leaky fuel pump. replaced it. turned on the car and the oil pressure light would go on below 20 mph. changed the oil to see if that would fix the pressure problem and the oil reeked of gasoline. then tried to start my car and it wouldn't start. pulled 2 plugs and both are soaked with gas. i have never had wet plugs before. my only guess is that the new fuel pump is bad and leaking gas into the engine? |

i would check to see that you do not have stuff in your needle that would be holding the float open and flooding the engine. mike |

Yeah, the gas-reeky oil means your old fuel pump was pissing gasoline into the crankcase. Change the oil again shortly. Your wet spark plugs are a(nother) carburetor problem, not related to the fuel pump. |
