My project dart slant 6. I drug home monday is ALIVE I got it started then got it to idle and actually drove it a mile or two. yip yip yipppeeeee. It kind of stumbles if you gas it hard but if you gradually lay into it she revs right up. 904 tranny works as well. It l has all gears and shifts ok. about 80% of the lights are functioning as well. now if i could get the damn heater to work id be really happy kind of chilly driving around in 10degree weather.

Anyways the guy i bought it from had it for 6 months could get it to start but it wouldnt idle he had to hold it at like 3000rpm to keep it going. so I am happy with the progress so far. Just thought id update you guys.

Better :D

What is wrong with the heater, anyway?

Being cold sucks, and it won´t make you sit in your car, doing imaginary trips around the world

previous owner was going to sell it to a 16 yr old who took the dash out trying to fix stuff and never got it back together. then his dad wouldnt let him but it anyways. the heater controls are lying inside the dash. the rest of it is in the trunk. its on my list of things to track down but really far down the list at this point. along with speedometer fuelgauge and all lights on drivers side of car.

i tuned carb a bit more today a little sluggish till it gets warmed up. but really starting to come around put another 3 laps around the block on it about 2 miles or sototal. anywyas i am pleased with progress. i might tag it and drive it as a daily till i start my restoration.

fun little car

Dumb Q; Did you find this car on "old" US20 in Williams County? (this county is in exterme NW Ohio). Saw one there when I was in Ohio about 6 wks ago, primered 73-76 saw it from the back so I couldn't tell year 4 sure. Didn't have time to stop as I drove thru.

been combing ebay for about a yr or two looking for the right price and right damage. hey 600 bucks and im driving it. i figure i didnt do that bad.??? floor pans are solid from end to end. needs both rear quarters though.

well beauty is in the eye of the beholder and im happy with it so i guess thats all that matters.
