I have a 66 170 val daily driver, the engine has 70k on it and runs very well. I might look for a 225 next year but like what I have for now. I just put the 2bbl on last week and I am having a 2 1/4 exhaust pipe made for it next week.
What is the height difference in inches between a 170 and a 225 ? I thought it was about 2 inches but don't know.
My thought was to ask the exhaust guy to give me a little extra clearance between the bottom of the firewall and the top of the exhaust pipe so if I change to a 225 I can use the same exhaust pipe.
Would the pipe be too low if I do this?
