i have a lake seventies aspen/volare front end on a 48 dodge truck, i have been told that I need $700+ worth of parts to redo the front end. The wheels when un loaded can be shaken by hand= no good. my question is, will a pst brand front end kit that has all the bushings and tie rod ends do the job or is its $249 price tag telling me its not all I need. any help or input greatly appreciated!!!!

Yes, i'd say the kit would work, get the addtl. INNER tie rod ends, and drag link bar if that has worn holes (where the inner tie rods go through), you may also need a pitman arm. PST or any of the companies should have it, MOOG parts are + if they have different brands of choice.

A random guess would be to check the upper control arm bushings. The volare front supsension doesn't use the traditional strut rod design so there aren't any strut bushings to go bad. It's not something as simple as loose wheel bearings is it? How does it steer and handle bumps? There are many dishonest shops all across the country you may have found one.

it steers well and is smooth (i dont feel reflective bumps on the highway when i make a lane change) how ever i knew there was a problem when my new tires were completly worn on the inside of the tread pattern ( on both driver and passenger sides.)
i will explore the wheel bearing possiblity

thanks guys!
